24 Jan 2016 to 27 Jan 2016
Kuching
, Malaysia

General Information

UNU-IIGH will host the only Urban Thinkers Campus on Health and Wellbeing. We live in an urban world, where solutions to the health of our people and our planet are linked. This global event will re-imagine sustainable urban development in the interest of health and wellbeing from an integrated eco-social approach.

The Campus will feature diverse and interactive thematic sessions, urban labs, dialogue and networking sessions, and original events such as a Hackathon, developing scalable solutions and policies. In order to allow participants to experience the goals of the health and wellbeing agenda, this innovative Campus will feature health-conscious schedules and sustainable meals and commuting options, and will take place in a green, accessible venue within a WHO Healthy City. It will integrate opportunities for participants to stay healthy and enjoy the city of Kuching through physical activities, street food, and more.

The conclusions negotiated at this event will result in the Kuching Principles, giving a succinct voice to the health and wellbeing agenda and contributing to The City We Need global partners’ position for Habitat III. Please visit ThriveUrban.info for more information.
