Join the UN Global Compact-Cities Program at the World Urban Forum(WUF9) as they launch their City Partnerships program

The UN Global Compact-Cities Programme (UNGC-CP), lead partner of the World Urban Campaign, will be busy at the World Urban Forum, which is starting in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday 7 February 2018.

The UNGC-CP are launching their City Partnerships Program as well as presenting three other events and participating in many more.

The IFSUD & City Partnerships Challenge Launch takes place on Tuesday February 13 in the One UN Room at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 10: 00 to 11:00am.  The launch will introduce a model process for accelerating the formation of sustainable urban projects to attract private and public funding. Following on from this launch, the UNCCP will present:

City Partnerships Challenge Launch (part 2) – Partnered Approaches to Sustainable Urban Development. This session will highlight the work of partners and friends of UNGC-CP; focusing on innovative and positive case studies of change in South America, India and Africa. It runs from 11:00 to 12:00am on Tuesday February 13 in the One UN Room at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

Ethical City projects: Principles and practices for developing cross-sectoral projects to implement NUA objectives is a training event that will challenge you to think deeply about the intended and unintended consequences of urban projects. It takes place on Friday 9 February from 11:00 to 14:00 in Room 306, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.

Achieving resilient, sustainable and healthy communities in the face of rapid urbanization: learning from Asia Pacific, South America and Africa is a side event that takes place on Saturday 10 February from 17:00 to 18:00 in Room 402, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.
