*Smartly is a social enterprise leading the way in coordinating action to communicate and localize the SDGs within the private and public sectors, in Latin America and beyond. It holds three international awards. In order to mobilize stakeholders and society to meet the SDGs challenge, Smartly has launched key projects, inherent to the principles of the 2030 Agenda like the Local Parliament Network on the SDGs, Sustainable Entrepreneurs, Women 2030, among others.

Past role in constituency/WUC :
Smartly is a group of professionals of different disciplines that works to localize and communicate the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda in the public, private sector and in Academia. In that regard, as Associate Partner of the World Urban Campaign of UN Habitat, it has made diverse activities bringing together professionals of Latin America and beyond like in the two editions of the Urban Thinkers Campus, Vibrant and Inclusive Urban Life (Mexico 2019 -in person- & Ecuador 2020-online-, as well as the following Special UTCs COVID-19:
-The wage gap, social security, and small business during pandemics,
-Reporting during the Pandemic,
-Multi-level Governance to face the pandemic and recovery.
Also, it was chosen by UN Habitat to plan and develop the relaunching of the Urban Journalist Academy (Buenos Aires and Mexico - in person, 2019-).

Motivations :
My motivation is to accelerate the connection between the local practices and the global platforms like WUC, as well as sharing the experience that we have on the field as concrete actions and partners and the method that we have been developing during these years to help build human capabilities across all sectors and develop talents that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the NUA demand in order to achieve their goals.

Vision :
In all this ecosystem the communication is a vehicle that meets current demands and interprets the needs of those interested in working with us, so we need to strengthen the WUC communication strategy to disseminate all the actions in the different territories.
Regarding the experience of Smartly with the Academia we would like to contribute by connecting WUC with the Universities and the Local Parliament Network on the SDGs to disseminate the NUA and the SDGs through training and activities, and Urban Legislation on the SDGs.
