I participated in Habitat III in Quito 2016, in the WUF9 in Kuala Lumpur 2018 and in the WUF l0 in Abu Dhabi in 2020 as a passionate speaker. In Abu Dhabi I also attended the very productive Steering Committee meeting of WUC and decided to be heavily engaged as a professional in urban sociology, urban planning and urban conservation and as one of the ICOMOS leaders in safeguarding and managing the sustainable development of historic cities in the Professional Partners Constituent Group of WUC. With my great experience I will convince stakeholders that investing in creative, resilient and sustainable cities and communities is essential to our future, provide the necessary tools to achieve creative, resilient and sustainable cities and communities and share knowledge worldwide..
The Professionals Partner Constituent Group vision and mission is to contribute in developing solutions and take action in cities and communities in implementing the New Urban Agenda to accelerate the achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030 with a particular emphasis on urban regeneration, especially in the context of climate change, and to promote the implementation of the New Urban Agenda to achieve the SDGs. The Professionals Partner Constituent group promotes cities that are socially inclusive and engaging; affordable, accessible and equitable; economically vibrant and inclusive; collectively managed and democratilly governed, cities that are regenerative and resilient, have shared identities and sense of place.
