Venue: Alliance Française de Durban, 22 Sutton Crescent, Durban

Dear Stakeholder,

We are delighted to invite you to participate in our Urban Thinkers Campus 9.0, themed "Empowering Urban Futures: Climate-Resilient Inclusive Development in eThekwini," scheduled for 17 July 2024.

This year, our Urban Thinkers Campus, in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), delves into the intricate connection between climate resilience and inclusive development in our vibrant city. The gathering aligns closely with the principles of the New Urban Agenda, acknowledging the pressing need to address housing challenges, especially those exacerbated by the impacts of climate change.

The primary goal is to explore and discuss climate-resilient strategies that foster inclusive urban development. By focusing on innovative solutions and emphasizing collaborative approaches, together with our event partners, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), we’ll showcase the potential of the INDAWO gamified learning tool in immersive planning experiences.

Alongside you, we seek to advocate for evidence-based methods aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and build partnerships to pave the way for transformative, climate-resilient housing solutions. Our ultimate objective is to empower eThekwini’s urban and peri-urban citizens, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to address housing challenges amidst a changing climate.

For further information and to confirm your participation, please RSVP directly by 15 July 2024.

We look forward to your participation in this significant event and your contribution to the advancement of climate-resilient and inclusive urban development in eThekwini.

Inspiring initiative! highlights the importance of collaboration and forward-thinking for sustainable cities. I like how the theme focuses on giving communities the tools to shape their own urban environments. Online Casinos

This sounds like a really important and timely event! I'm particularly interested in the focus on climate-resilient development. Sometimes, when I'm facing information overload at conferences like these, I find a quick break helps. Believe it or not, playing the Dinosaur Game in Chrome is a surprisingly effective way to clear my head before diving back in. Looking forward to hearing more about the outcomes of the campus!
