The 2022 Better Cities Film Festival flagship event will take place in Detroit, Michigan, October 20-23rd, 2022.

All screenings are at Cinema Detroit, 4126 3rd Ave, Detroit, MI 48201.

Better Cities Film Festival was founded by festival director Josh Paget and First+Main Films. We collect, curate and present the very best films on the theme of making better cities, towns, and neighborhoods.

The festival honors the top films and filmmakers with awards, and we screen those films to a vast audience around the world through our annual flagship event in Detroit, and through locally-organized screening events at cities and towns across America and around the world.

I like the idea of using films to spark real conversations about better cities instead of just talking about urban issues in reports. Bringing together different voices through storytelling feels surprisingly cutle, and I’d love to see more events like this.

I noticed the festival's specific address, Cinema Detroit on 3rd Ave, and its global reach through local screenings. It made me think about how a compatibility test tries to map connections

This Better Cities Film Festival sounds cool! It's all about films that make cities better. Reminds me of how addictive Magic Tiles 3 is gotta be quick and on point! Definitely gonna check out some of these films.
