As global urbanization accelerates, more than half of the world's population now resides in cities. By 2045, the urban population is expected to increase by 1.5 times, reaching 6 billion [1]. In this context, the World Urban Campaign Assembly are crucial for addressing the complex challenges cities face today. This annual event aligns with major milestones in the field, notably held alongside the biennial World Urban Forum. In 2024, the Assembly will be hosted by the American University in Cairo (AUC), coinciding with the 12th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF12) in Cairo, from 4 to 8 November.
