The Urban Thinkers Campus (UTC) 10.0 Series is now officially open for applications. Led by UN-Habitat under the World Urban Forum framework, the Urban Thinkers Campus provides a global platform for dialogue, innovation, and action on sustainable urban development. This edition is organized under the theme “Housing Matters”, highlighting the central role of housing in creating inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities.

Universities, local and regional governments, civil society organizations, youth groups, community organizations, research institutions, professional associations, and private sector entities are invited to apply to host an Urban Thinkers Campus as part of the global Road to WUF14.

Hosting a UTC offers an opportunity to:

  • Convene diverse stakeholders to discuss pressing urban challenges and solutions.

  • Contribute local perspectives to global urban policy discussions.

  • Advance dialogue on housing and sustainable urban development.

  • Showcase innovative practices and partnerships.

  • Strengthen advocacy and collective action towards the implementation of the SDGs and the New Urban Agenda.

Organizations interested in hosting a UTC 10.0 are encouraged to submit their applications through the official UN-Habitat GEMS platform.

Join the growing global movement of urban thinkers, practitioners, policymakers, communities, and innovators working together to shape the future of housing and sustainable urbanization.

Application deadline: 31 August 2026.

The housing focus for UTC 10.0 is exactly what local governments need right now, especially with the World Urban Forum framework backing it. I’ve been using a practical toolkit for inclusive housing policy that pairs well with this call— https://stl-viewer.org

Great to see UTC 10.0 centering housing as the backbone of inclusive and resilient cities — this is exactly where urban policy needs to focus. For anyone applying, I've been using a campus-community partnership framework that could be useful to adapt. https://cults3d.pro

The housing focus here is exactly what’s been missing from too many urban dialogues—glad to see UTC 10.0 putting it front and center. Our local coalition just wrapped a similar participatory planning sprint, and the tools we leaned on are worth sharing if you're preparing an application. Check out https://glmmodel.com

The housing focus for UTC 10.0 is exactly what local governments need right now, especially with the World Urban Forum framework backing it. I've been using a similar approach in my own city planning work, and this platform feels like a natural next step—check out the application details for more. https://vaceit.com

The housing focus for UTC 10.0 couldn't be more timely, especially how it ties local governments directly into the World Urban Forum pipeline. I've been digging into similar implementation frameworks lately, and this feels like the exact space where policy meets pavement.
